By now, whether you're a virtual learner or a face-to-face student, you've definitely heard the word Schoology. Log onto your Schoology. Check your Schoology. You can find the answer in Schoology. Email your teacher through Schoology. It's everywhere!
Schoology is the platform that DeSoto County Schools is using this year to be able to increase our virtual learning capacity for all students. Every student has an account; every teacher has an account; every parent can have an account; every counselor even has an account!
Because Schoology is such a big part of our schools this year, we want to make sure and remind you to be checking your account often, even if you are not a distance learner. Teachers are communicating with students via this portal and assignments are being done through this portal, as well. We, the counselors, have linked you to us in Schoology (that's what that Colony course is on your dashboard), and we will be sharing announcements and various information via this portal, as well.
Make sure, also, that you are checking your school email address, as this is the address linked to your Schoology account. If you don't know how to access your school email address, there is a document attached below that may help you get logged in.
I know this is new and different for all of us, but you'll get the hang of it in no time!
