Take Care of You

There are lots of ways to grow and learn. At DCHS, a lot of that learning takes place in the classroom with a specific lesson plan. However, just as much takes places in the hallways and at lunch and at a football game--learning and growth that comes from social perceptions and interactions, emotions and feelings.

This year, each month, we will be highlighting one specific aspect of social-emotional learning and working to foster growth among all of our students. Exploring these ideals will take place in a variety of ways, and we look forward to developing this program at DCHS!

For September, as we all get rolling and falling into some sort of a routine (hopefully!), we want to focus on self-care. In order to be a friend to others and give of yourself to all around you, you've got to take care of yourself! Whether it's going for a run, baking a batch of cookies or writing in your journal, do what you need to do to take care of you.
